Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
The worst card to make is a sympathy card but unfortunately I needed one this week and kept procrastinating making it because then it was real (I am still struggling to mail it as words seem so meaningless at this point). So I knew I would need to “challenge” myself to get this one made. Well have I mentioned that A Muse Studio is adding felt to their fantastic line of products??? The Moxie Fab Felt Challenge was calling my name (you have until Sept. 5th to enter so it should call your name too ;). The 10 great colors of felt are available for sale Monday, August 22nd. Now I have used other felts and love the “fray free” die-cutting our felt provides. But still the I needed a little more of a push to make this sympathy card, thankfully I subscribe to a few sketch challenge blogs and they sit in my email until I am ready to use them rather than me having to search for inspiration. As searching feeds procrastination!! So I grabbed this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch and a color combo from our chief creative officer Heather and I finally got the umph to get this card made.
This card also features a new color that will be released on Monday “pebble” and it is just a beautiful soft gray and Heather suggested to team it up with slate and buttercup. This is definitely not a color combo I would have ever put together but I love it and next want to replace buttercup with shell 🙂

So I am in love with all the new goodies I got from A Muse Studio which will be released on August 22nd in the holiday catalog. Well I signed up for a little card swap with my yahoo group StampOhio. I loved this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch and wanted to get as many new supplies into one card as possible. Did I mention I love EVERYTHING?? 2 new colors are being introduced in the holiday catalog Wasabi and Pebble, they are both gorgeous and I really hope they roll over into next years catalog. We also added 3 colors of the woodgrain paper- slate, french roast and cherry. What goes better with wood grain paper then wood, and I just love how easy it is to stamp, punch and emboss these awesome maple tags. Finish it off with a little baker’s twine and the holiday tags stamp set (which I earned for FREE) and you have yourself quite a swap worthy card.
Sorry about the horrible pic, it is very yellowy because here in northeast Ohio it is very gray and gloomy. Really this picture gives a beautiful card no justice at all. I really hope the stampohio girls like it. The holiday catalog is a fantastic supplement to our main catalog. I will begin shipping these full size, full color catalogs on Thursday, August 18th so if you would like a hard copy (44 pages with close to 100 projects) for only $3.95 plus shipping just leave a comment or shoot us an email.

Have I told you I love Washi tape, seriously I use it all the time, to hold dies and paper in place, to cover white paper and make my own dsp. It die cuts like butter. And I couldn’t help but use it on my take of this week’s sketch over at Mojo Monday. Well if you haven’t figured it out washi tape is the rock star of this card. So without further a due.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute but with Mom and Tommy on vacation I had extra chores so I just got to make something today. I thought this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch was awesome. And of course I needed to use my new vintage variety pack that I got last week in my A Muse Studio order (free hostess benefits, baby). Well I think I have told you before I am afraid of color, I mostly used 2 colors but it was orange and bermuda, 2 colors I would have never put together but I saw something (darned if I can remember what) that had these colors and I thought it was so cute.

Happy Easter to all. We have a busy day today as my mom loves her holidays and since I am kidless I get to be her little helper. My health isn’t quite holding up so I really hope others will pick up clean up duty. Well yesterday I had to skip the outdoor community egg hunt so I got a little crafty. But I had to challenge myself, I have a confession “I am color challenged”. If you look through my projects I use 2 colors and white. So I challenged myself to 3 colors and NO white. So I sat down with a great Mojo Monday Sketch and a few bright colors. I knew I wanted to showcase another one of my “fast flowers”. The carnation is so fun and easy to make all you need is paper and some scallop circle nesties (which is available through my store). I hope you like it!
We actually had sunshine yesterday here in Ohio so I got to show off the beautiful colors with natural light. I am not a good photographer by no means but a little sunshine helps everything look good. I hope you all have safe and Happy Easter.

Big things happening around here. Yesterday I took on quite a project “learn to make a blog button” and with the help of a few tutorials I DID IT!! I think it is beautiful (not compared to others but just because I made it).
This button is for the first A*Muse Studio creative consultant blog hop. On April 2nd starting with me you can hop along some great blogs and see all the awesome products A*Muse Studio has to offer. Now on to my card for the day.
This is my first Mojo Monday submission, I have been stalking their sketches for a year now, I even use one now and again but never submit in time well times have changed. TFL!!
