Big news on the horizon!!

Hey folks! I know it has been forever since I posted but life has gotten a little crazy. But I am tired of life running me, it is time to get back to running my life. So I made one of the best decisions in a long time. I will make time to craft. Why? Because I deserve it. I also want to get back to sharing what I love. So what does that mean for you?? Classes, videos, projects and more!! I tried my hand at the digital at world and it just want for me. My true passion is in paper, ink and glue and sharing that passion with the world. This lead me back to the beginning of my hobby. 15 years ago I began card making at a stamp club ran by a sweet friend Lisa who was a Stampin Up! Demonstrator, this lead me to many great times and friendships. So today I chose to go back to my roots and become a demonstrator myself. I joined under an amazing leader, Robyn of My Pink Stamper, she is teaching me so much already. The way our starter kit works is you build it yourself. $99 gets you $125 worth of product, I got some bonus goodies by joining in July 😉 Below is my starter kit that must a arrived. I can’t wait to start putting together my first class!!

For all my new customers you will receive the current 2017- 2018 catalog valued at $12 with shipping for FREE as well as a homemade card from me!!! There is no minimum order required, all size orders count just use the hostess code T3KGR74J through August 22, 2017 and I will ship that separately!! Visit my store to join my team or order 24/7. I look forward to this new adventure and I hope you do too!!

New Year, New Goals- life organized (faux filofax)

, , ,

Happy New Year folks! This time of year the gyms get busier, closets get cleaned out and resolutions are made. For me I look at it, not as a resolution but assessing what is good for me and what is bad. I make goals and try to create new habits. A new habit of mine is using a planner or filofax. I tried to save money by going the homemade route I probably would have been happier buying one ( so my system might change). In case any of you are interested I thought I would share. I purchased a Wilson Jones 3-ring binder from Amazon and it is gorgeous and only $17 with shipping.

planner cover

I love the color and feel of it though it is not real leather it is very soft yet durable. I used a free downloadable insert from Handmade Home. I loved the layout and they were FREE!  But now I am realizing the color scheme is not for me and I would prefer my months in portrait layout, live and learn.

inside planner January

On the back of each month I created a pocket for holding bills, receipts and such. I used coordinating color patterned paper from A Muse Studio.

planner folder

The weekly view is what really sold me on using these downloads, it is almost impossible to get WO2P (week on 2 pages) with lines! So when I found these I was super stoked.

week 1 planner

I will be using these for now but as you can see I lend towards bright colors not earth tones and I do think I want something A5 size. I hope I showed you some resources if you are interested in this system. Stay tuned as one of my other goals is blogging more 😉

Valentine’s day triangle treat box

Hey guys, I am so excited about this project (I know I have been saying that a lot lately, but I love being back to crafting) it is actually a no cut and no glue (until adding embellishments) triangle box. I thought it would be a perfect class or office treat. I found the tutorial when searching youtube. Here is a link to her blogpost with video embedded, Amazing Paper Grace. I varied it a little to be made out of a whole 8 1/2″ x 11″.

I scored @ 2 3/4″ and 2 7/8″ first and then @ 5 1/2″, then 4 1/8 from each end, then @ 1 3/8″ from each end. You will under stand as she turns the paper in her video. I used a 7″ piece of ribbon.

v-day treat box

Sorry about picture lighting it was taken by a cell phone (can’t find my camera :() I hope you are inspired to create your own triangle treat box. Don’t forget A Muse Studio’s holiday catalog expires December 31st and I heard from a good source, Linda herself, that not many holiday sets will be transferred to the new yearly catalog in the spring to make room for new goodies. So get your favorite sets while you can.

Christmas goodies and tales

, , ,

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I sure did. Actually Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year! My mom’s whole family gets together food, fun and presents. The new house was amazing everyone in one room with plenty of space to move! It was soooo fun and I was super happy to have Eric with me enjoying Aunt Patty makes cookies for everyone and my Aunt Chris makes fudge so I decided to make a homemade sea salt caramel, YUM-O!!. I found some adorable jars at Giant Eagle of all places and then decorated them up with A Muse Studio goodies including the awesome wood spoons. sea salt final

So cute!! Now it wasn’t the easiest thing to make one batch was not cooked enough and one batch burnt but I found the recipe on Pinterest. Other than timing mishaps was super easy to make. Here is a direct link to the blog “Knead to cook”.  The spoons were so easy to stamp I will definitely be using them again.  Looking forward to the new year and all the excitement that awaits.

Christmas ornament Delta Gamma style

, , , , , , ,

I am totally excited about this little gift. This is my 2nd year participating in the (unofficial) Annual Delta Gamma sisters Christmas ornament exchange. So fun! The ornament can be from your hometown or state and or delta gamma themed. You get paired up with a sister of all ages and chapters.  Well I knew exactly what I wanted to do. When A Muse Studio came out with the “Anchors aweigh” set I automatically thought of sisterhood projects. Unfortunately I am not active in my alumnae chapter because I live 8 hours away 😦 But I hope to contact the local university’s chapter next year to see how I can help. Ok without further ado…

Isn’t it delicious?? I love making things for people to enjoy year after year and what better way then with an ornament! I made a rosette and set ti with small circles in front and back. I used Tombow mono aqua adhesive and it took about a minute and a half to set, not bad. I also used that on the anchor and then applied the glitter. The anchor took about 20 minutes to dry. I just assembled the rest while I waited.  I hope you guys and my secret sis love it as much as I do.
